How are you doing???
A simple sentence which carries a lot of positivity with it,is,asking your loved one as to how he or she is doing?
Times have changed. Its the era of technology. We have lot of short cuts to translate emotions, concerns into texts. So let us all, irrespective of age, welcome this change in a positive way.
Those were the times when there was no money but we had great times sharing our joys, sorrows with our loved us.Loved ones did not necessarily mean only our family but also our friends, our neighbours.
Food was cooked, shared with one and all.Responsibilities were shared. The concept of togetherness was understood. The elders contributed the maximum till a certain age.Later the responsibilities were passed on to the next generation and later to the next,so on and so forth. There was no disparity in distribution of all the ingredients which were needed to live a contented life.
Now are the times of 'GOOD FELLOWS'....a concept floated by a good soul named Ratan Tata.He has very well understood the need of the day and has floated this concept for the benefit of the aged and neglected. When a man like Ratan Tata,a leading industrialist of our country can think positively and implement his thoughts, then why should a common man lag behind?
A change in the mind set of the older generation is very essential. Those of them who are financially independent should also think in terms of spending their twilight years peacefully....making peace with the change in scenario. Like its said by the Japanese,it's important to keep ourselves busy,be mobile and active. In addition to a healthy diet,a simple life in the outdoors shapes our lives. We have to find our own Ikigai. Those who discover their ikigai have everything they need for a long and a joyful journey through life.
I have found my ikigai.Have you?
Reading, writing, painting, cooking.Above all welcoming changes with a smile and leading a life purposefully.
More power to you all.
