Excerpts from my diary

Footprints

 I have this habit of jotting down points after every happy or sad moments that I experience.My thoughts may be of gratitude,or of learning.I believe that there is no failure....you either win or you learn.My thoughts listed below are random.So there may not be any connection  between the paragraphs nor  am I following a sequence. Here go my thoughts.......

Strong personalities never give up.They may need a coffee,a cry or even a day in bed.They always come back stronger.

We will never know what someone is dealing with, behind closed doors.No matter how happy someone looks,how loud their laughter is,how big and wide their smile is, they may be dealing with their inner battles.Therefore, always be kind to everyone.

Our children are there just to fulfill our needs of loving and giving.Children enable the parents to experience love,care,giving,planning.They are a medium to evolve us into a person who is confident of being with oneself,of being self reliant,of being tolerant,patient, of being able to accept the worst,of being able to understand and practice detachment.They help us to  cleanse ourselves.So,draw a line where the parent/children relationship is concerned. Because,not all children will be happy if you cross the line of anxiety, concern,understanding etc etc.Relationships are not built by forcing others to understand, but by giving them the confidence that you will never misunderstand them.

Last weekend was a peaceful weekend,with art and music to keep me company.Music is like applying a balm on my  weary heart and art makes me stay in the present moment and gives me a sense of achieving something.When shared on social media,it gives me a boost to continue my efforts at creating art,after reading the positive comments.

Create  a world for yourself and live in it with good memories,doing what you feel like doing,whatever interests you,living in the moment.Be a part of other's happiness or pep up someone who is down in the dumps.Make your life a beautiful journey.

If the path is beautiful, first confirm where it leads,but if the destination is beautiful dont bother how the path is.Keep moving.

That is all for now.

Keep your spirits up,because life is full of trials and we need to face them with fortitude.

Patience unlimited

 I feel that I have developed unlimited patience over the years.Life teaches patience,tolerance and the attitude to ignore many things that are not palatable to us.The reason being,as we see more of life we realise that we can't change people around us, so if we have to deal with people who are a part of our living, we have to put up with lots of unpleasant things or their behavior that may hurt us. A person's behavior tells us more about that person,who ever it be....our own selves or others. I had known a wife who used to be constantly ridiculed by her husband for everything she said or did and that too in front of an audience of friends and the wife would always laugh it off.I used to admire that lady but her husband's behavior would irritate me.I think now I understand why she used to keep quiet and bear everything and smile it off.Their individual behaviours told us more about his personality and her personality.His behavior told us what an ill mannered and foolish  pe...

Is appreciation the end all and be all?

The title I gave this blog is a question!!! I love to analyse every thing that happens in my day to day life.Anything overwhelming or anything that makes me sad. Well something overwhelming happened today. I was most unexpectedly appreciated for a painting that I posted in a watercolor group of which I am a member. At first it was overwhelming and I even responded to it.After responding,my mind started the process of analysis of the whole process.....from how I felt motivated to paint the subject to how I felt after finishing my painting. Actually, I could not take my eyes off the photograph that was posted by my photographer friend whom I follow closely.My admiration for that person's photography ignited the desire in me to paint and I could not help but make a water colour version of it.I sat through my work in the night till the wee hours of the next morning and was elated with the result.The first thing I did was to post it the next day.Irespective of the likes and comments I g...
