Life a miracle




 Autumn,rivers,seas,oceans,trees all of these things we notice and learn from, only in solitude. 

Steer me to an autumn path to travel all alone,

Fall leaves are the finest company,rustling in my heart like home...beautifully said by Ange Weiland.

In life too we reach a stage where we have to  fall out.Let there be grace and beauty in the fall.

Rivers begin from a small source of water.They grow,as they flow. Smaller streams or rivers may join them and merge with them.Then,together they continue on their onward journey.They overcome so many obstacles,they flow through forests,change their course when obstructed by huge rocks and flow over small pebbles,yet they do not stop until they reach their final destination, the sea.

I relate this to the various personalities we meet in our life.Some good,some not so good.But all teach us something, and we have to decide which path we need  to take,while we are  on our journey through life,beginning from a tiny baby to an adult and then old age.Along our journey,we gather so much of knowledge,subtle when small and then our challenges grow in size and volume as we grow older. Life's greatest and toughest lessons are like the course of the rivers,sometimes through a rough,tough terrain and other times quietly flowing till they merge with the sea.

Trees stand tall and strong,alone,sheltering weary travellers, rejuvenating them with the supply of cool breeze and oxygen,sharing fruits to satisfy the hunger of a traveller.Sometimes,stones are thrown at them in a bid to make a fruit fall to the ground.A tree only gives,does not complain.Does all this not teach us so much?

To remain peaceful,to remain stable in the middle of chaos is impossible unless you are deeply connected to a source  of peace,to a source of stability. 


Lucky are those who meet personalities, who,by their thinking and actions impart so much of knowledge. They are so special that once they enter your life,your life becomes richer and fuller and more wonderful than you ever thought it could be. Value them and keep them close to your heart.Never let them go,because they are no less than a miracle.

Wishing everyone a fruitful,peaceful,purposeful,happy journey through life.We should never cease to learn from the gifts bestowed upon us.

Patience unlimited

 I feel that I have developed unlimited patience over the years.Life teaches patience,tolerance and the attitude to ignore many things that are not palatable to us.The reason being,as we see more of life we realise that we can't change people around us, so if we have to deal with people who are a part of our living, we have to put up with lots of unpleasant things or their behavior that may hurt us. A person's behavior tells us more about that person,who ever it be....our own selves or others. I had known a wife who used to be constantly ridiculed by her husband for everything she said or did and that too in front of an audience of friends and the wife would always laugh it off.I used to admire that lady but her husband's behavior would irritate me.I think now I understand why she used to keep quiet and bear everything and smile it off.Their individual behaviours told us more about his personality and her personality.His behavior told us what an ill mannered and foolish  pe...

Is appreciation the end all and be all?

The title I gave this blog is a question!!! I love to analyse every thing that happens in my day to day life.Anything overwhelming or anything that makes me sad. Well something overwhelming happened today. I was most unexpectedly appreciated for a painting that I posted in a watercolor group of which I am a member. At first it was overwhelming and I even responded to it.After responding,my mind started the process of analysis of the whole process.....from how I felt motivated to paint the subject to how I felt after finishing my painting. Actually, I could not take my eyes off the photograph that was posted by my photographer friend whom I follow closely.My admiration for that person's photography ignited the desire in me to paint and I could not help but make a water colour version of it.I sat through my work in the night till the wee hours of the next morning and was elated with the result.The first thing I did was to post it the next day.Irespective of the likes and comments I g...
