Phases and transition






My morning ritual is painting nowadays.My solitary time is spent well with my paints and brushes and pictures that inspire me to paint everyday.


I have titled my today's painting as TRANSITION.
 
Now,what is a transition?In my case it's changing of my phase of life from one to another.Its by a deep understanding of facts and subsequently accepting facts.Its a difficult phase though,but in life only change is constant.

Life's experiences teach each one of us so much.To steer clear when required...when necessary.

We always see our reflection in our close relationships.If we are genuine,we see that quality in others,if we are true,we see that quality in others,if we are loving,we see that quality in others,if we are frank,we see that quality in others.


Be yourself,I tell myself.Dont change.Its only my warmth,love and understanding,frankness and genuinity, that has brought me this far.....and will take me further till my end.


I read that October is the month for tulips in some parts of the world.I also read that tulips symbolise deep and unconditional love.That is a nice,genuine emotion I thought.So I painted a field of tulips inspired by a photograph which I simply loved.

I pray that my  painting journey continues till I live and my inspirations also continue.Hope and pray that people who inspire me in my art continue to do so.
I wish to quietly follow people who inspire me with their art.....be it photography,painting etc etc.

Art is love,art is meditative,art is happiness,art is relaxing,art is learning,art is my life,be it painting,drawing,writing.....

Loads of love and understanding and wishing the readers of my blog the very best of things in life....

Patience unlimited

 I feel that I have developed unlimited patience over the years.Life teaches patience,tolerance and the attitude to ignore many things that are not palatable to us.The reason being,as we see more of life we realise that we can't change people around us, so if we have to deal with people who are a part of our living, we have to put up with lots of unpleasant things or their behavior that may hurt us. A person's behavior tells us more about that person,who ever it be....our own selves or others. I had known a wife who used to be constantly ridiculed by her husband for everything she said or did and that too in front of an audience of friends and the wife would always laugh it off.I used to admire that lady but her husband's behavior would irritate me.I think now I understand why she used to keep quiet and bear everything and smile it off.Their individual behaviours told us more about his personality and her personality.His behavior told us what an ill mannered and foolish  pe...

Is appreciation the end all and be all?

The title I gave this blog is a question!!! I love to analyse every thing that happens in my day to day life.Anything overwhelming or anything that makes me sad. Well something overwhelming happened today. I was most unexpectedly appreciated for a painting that I posted in a watercolor group of which I am a member. At first it was overwhelming and I even responded to it.After responding,my mind started the process of analysis of the whole process.....from how I felt motivated to paint the subject to how I felt after finishing my painting. Actually, I could not take my eyes off the photograph that was posted by my photographer friend whom I follow closely.My admiration for that person's photography ignited the desire in me to paint and I could not help but make a water colour version of it.I sat through my work in the night till the wee hours of the next morning and was elated with the result.The first thing I did was to post it the next day.Irespective of the likes and comments I g...
