My first week in Toronto

When I set my foot in Toronto, a little more than a week ago,it looked like any other Western country to me,with tall, beautiful buildings, beautiful lush green land on either side of the multiple lane roads that led to the capital of Ontario.Airport Limousine driven by a Pakistani drove us to 33 Bay Street. Our conversation with our Sarathi was very pleasant. He seemed to be a well mannered, kind gentleman.
After quite a long drive, with dazzling lights all the way,we reached our abode.

Being quite late and after a long drawn flight, had our hot ๐Ÿšฟ after which we ate hot dinner of jeera rice and dhal makhni and called it a day.By the way, there are good Indian restaurants which door drop delicious Indian food as well.

The next day was a holiday being civic day.So our life started at a slow pace, ending the day with a walk to the lake which is situated to the south of Toronto. Was told that the entire stretch to the south of the city is the huge lake.A paradise for walkers. After buying some essentials at the grocery store we returned home.

The following day was a our visit to the stadium.Ofcourse,on our way, dropped by at the Railway Museum for a photo break.

Here,in Toronto, the weather is quite unpredictable.A bright and a warm evening can,in a minute's time change to a cold and windy evening.

People here generally have dogs as their pets.Miniatures, cute and well behaved ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ cuddly friends are a common sight. Some, with their little shoes and a jacket look so so ๐Ÿ˜˜cute.

The day before was the day I saw the Union train station and the underground path which leads to many offices.Outside the Union station it  was vibrant with temporary stalls selling lovely food and a band playing good music. We sat there for sometime nibbling some nachos and doughnuts, while we listened to the band which was doing good music  in full swing, with lots of cheerleaders to cheer them up.An enjoyable evening indeed,I thought.Being a weekend, our day ended with a long drive to Aurora and back.

Made some new friends, some locals, some Indians but a nice bunch. They were invited for barbecue and lunch.

There is also an ugly side to this city and story....it's sad to see so many homeless, high on drugs in their own world. The world that passes by looks at them and quietly walks away.....

Yet to explore the suburbs, which I guess are more interesting sights with lots of nature to admire.I am a nature person who prefers the quiet side to the noisy, busy side of any country.

Outside the Union train station where people gather during the summer evenings to enjoy music over some delicious short eats and a drink or two.๐Ÿ‘‡

This was my small tour of the first week in Toronto.
