Quebec and Ontario tour
I have started this blog on the 19th of September. Will go slow and write as and when I feel like.
We are in Mont Tremblant, Quebec...the most happening place where many tourists come to relax. Its a famous ski resort. So there are skiers who visit this place during winter.
I am,at the moment sitting on a rocky low fence, enjoying the cool breeze. There is place everywhere to sit and relax under the maple trees, comfortable benches welcome you when you are tired or feel lazy.Lot of eateries are around this place and the most popular icecream shop tempts one to grab an icecream cone as you walk through the various lanes in the village of Tremblant
We are here since 15th of September and are going to other places in Quebec before we get back to Toronto.

I am continuing my blog after my return to Toronto....this day,on the 23rd of September.
The first day of our arrival in Tremblant was quiet and not very exciting.
The real excitement started only after I decided to explore the place. This was a day or two after reaching Tremblant. The terrain was rocky. So exploring the place required a lot of climbing and descending....a good exercise for the legs.
Long, lone walks in the sun with my thoughts and camera clicks was truly blissful.I got to explore almost every road and therefore got to see autumn setting in.
Heaven for me is autumn and was amazed to see the gradual transition of green colour of the leaves to yellow, yellow ochre, pink to dark pink, red to maroon, throughout Canada. There was beauty all around and I felt as if I was in love again.
The feeling I got as I walked by the maple trees, where a colourful carpet of vibrant leaves welcomed me was simply magical. Some fallen leaves dry up yet they look beautiful because they are not alone, they have their coloured, fresh companions with them, the fresh maple leaves which would have gracefully fallen on the ground. The grace with which they fall puts us,humans,to shame.Even in their fall there is grace.
Holding a maple leaf in your hand and seeing every detail of the leaf was even more magical.I was in awe of the one above who had brought in so much of magic. Can you imagine how I felt when I was in the midst of all this colourful creation of God?I was in a trance.
Alas, this magic lasts only for two to three weeks and in these two/three week's time your breath is taken away.I am sure that this experience of my autumn walks will stay with me till my end.
Cherished every moment of my stay in Tremblant.A small village but a vibrant village with tourists going there to chill in autumn and some go during winter to ski since it's a ski resort.
Took a ride in the cable car or the Gondola lift as it is popularly called. One was above the village of Tremblant and the other one was up and down the mountain where the ski slope or the ski trail is situated. Both were scenic. But the second one was simply awesome.Felt as if the maple and pine trees were travelling along with us.
Let me post here below a few pics of the happening place called Kandahar where all the eateries were clustered.Tourists are spoilt by so much of choice of food offered to them.Chinese,Mexican, Italian etc etc.Lot of flavours to tickle the palate.
The same place by night looked so bright and festive.
Who would not enjoy this ambience?
The food we ate from various restaurants was also very delicious.
The ice creams were heavenly.
Want to add here that we visited Omega Parc.Park is spelt as Parc in French.Since Quebec was a French colony all the boards are in French in Quebec and jobs are given only to French speaking people I was told. They speak English too but French is given priority everywhere in Quebec.
At the Omega Parc tourists drive through the park feeding animals but we are warned not to feed the male species as they are aggressive in nature. We however had a good time feeding female and young ones of animals.Took some interesting pics.Spent close to two hours in the park.
Here are some pics of the animals in the park.
Our next stop was Erinsville in Ontario.A quaint resort by the Beaver lake.
This resort was on the lake, the patio was just above the lake, surrounded by beautiful nature.I spent a lot of time looking at the lake and beyond. There was so much of peace with only the sound of waves lashing on the rocky banks of the lake and an occasional call of the sea gulls.....
Not to forget the occasional buzzing of the motor boats and exciting laughter of small kids when they caught a fish.People love to go fishing here in Canada.
The lake looked different at different times of the day and at night.During the day was the beautiful reflections of the cottages situated on the banks and at night was the reflection of the lights that lit up the cottages which enticed me.
Another interesting part of our stay here was viewing the sunset.......so very magical..the sun gradually going down to kiss the lake, emitting beautiful hues of yellow and orange. The clouds near by reflecting the colours and thereby adding to the overall beauty of the evening, was simply breathtaking.
Bidding goodbye to Erinsville the following noon we went to Kingston.
Lake Ontario Park is a very big park on the banks of Lake Ontario. The water gleamed like pearls in the afternoon sunlight.
Went for a three hour long cruise on the lake.Had dinner on board while listening to music.Expected to see a beautiful sunset but that was not to be.Instead, enjoyed the music and dinner.....
Bid adieu to our holiday, stopping at the 'Shell' gas station for refuelling and got back to Toronto, fully rejuvenated.
Hope you all,the readers of my blog came along with me and my thoughts and enjoyed the journey.
